Our Exposure Identification team, in the Vulnerability Management service within our Cybersecurity division, is responsible for surfacing the most critical vulnerabilities across Macquarie's IT ecosystem and providing a prioritised and contextualised view that enables teams to focus remediation efforts where needed.

What role will you play?

In your role as Data Engineer, you will help us design, develop and maintain a greenfield data pipeline using a modern tech stack. You will drive the future of our vulnerability management platform and ensure the delivery of robust, scalable data solutions. You will help build a collaborative environment to enhance our capabilities in identifying, analysing, and mitigating vulnerabilities across our multi-cloud environment.

What you offer

  • 5+ years of experience with Python, data warehouse/mart development, BI report development, and ETL tools, alongside experience in data modelling and manipulation
  • Proven expertise with data transformation (e.g. DBT)
  • Experience in SQL queries optimisation for modern data stack (e.g. data lake, Cloud Query Engine such as Athena and Big Query)
  • Extensive experience with AWS services, implementing CICD pipelines, versioning, and secret management within Linux/Unix environments
  • Ability to support business requirements through insightful report analysis and BI report development
  • Experience in backend engineering in Python will be an advantage
