As a Data Engineering Manager, you will lead the growth and development of an engineering team responsible for the reliability and scalability of Macquarie's data platform. You will drive delivery by leading sprint planning, prioritizing work, removing obstacles, and upholding high code quality and operational readiness. You will shape the technical roadmap and serve as the technical escalation point for challenging production incidents, ensuring the platform remains scalable, resilient and compliant. You’ll apply an AI-first mindset to automate processes and continuously challenge legacy practices while collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders.

- Ability to work as part of a team with proven success at delivering complex data engineering initiatives
- 5+ years of professional data engineering/analytics experience
- 3+ years of experience in a formal or informal leadership role in an engineering team
- High proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as SQL or Python
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about technical and business challenges
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
