Senior Subject Matter Expert in Meta-Data Management within Danske Bank's Group Data Office, focusing on defining requirements and delivering data management capabilities (e.g., Collibra) to support the data strategy. You will establish data catalogue and data lineage, integrate metadata from multiple sources, and develop metadata ingestion approaches in collaboration with data stewards and technical teams. You will create BAU processes in data management tools, oversee implementation efforts across business units, and coordinate with the meta-data management team and IT delivery functions. Located in Vilnius, Lithuania, with flexible remote/hybrid work options across the Nordic and Baltic region.

To accelerate this journey, we are looking to expand the Group Data Office with a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Meta-Data Management.

Our team, part of the Group Data Office, collaborates with various teams to advance the adoption of data and leverage analytics and data science to enhance our products and services for clients. The Data & Analytics team consists of Data Management, Data Platform and Data Strategy & Transformation. As a central enabler identified as a priority by Danske Bank’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT), we have a significant mandate and support.

You will:

  • Identify requirements and use cases for Data Management Tools (e.g., Collibra), and design and test features/solutions that support the data management strategy and roadmap
  • Establish data catalogue and data lineage capabilities and procedures by collaborating closely with data management role holders and the technical implementation team
  • Support multiple engagements integrating metadata and data lineage into data management tools from various sources, including ETL tools
  • Collaborate with data stewards and technical staff to develop metadata ingestion approaches
  • Create and implement Business As Usual (BAU) process flows within data management tools to ensure smooth and consistent data handling practices
  • Oversee and support data management role holders in their implementation efforts within one or more business units and Group functions
  • Coordinate the design and delivery of tool implementation and data management efforts as part of the meta-data management team deliveries. This includes close collaboration with the team responsible for the technical delivery of the data management tools

About you:

  • At least 2 years' experience working within data management and governance
  • Experience in implementing data catalogue and data lineage processes by integrating solutions into data management tools from various sources, including ETL tools
  • Practical experience with industry-leading data catalogue and data lineage tools; experience with Collibra is beneficial
  • Team-oriented with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Advanced English skills are required
  • Ability to assist users with technical questions and provide guidance on the bank’s implementation of selected data management tools, including knowledge of governance implementation and key use cases
  • Relevant academic education, such as in data, IT or similar fields
  • Experience as specialist within analytics, a data or risk management function at a bank / project manager in financial services with experience in data-heavy projects / data and/or technical steward role within a financial services organisation would be beneficial
  • Advanced English skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3680 EUR to 5520 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
