As a Data Analyst on the Health Systems and Services team, you will provide data engineering expertise to deliver high-quality analytics for healthcare clients. You will transform, filter, and aggregate raw data into data marts or client-specific models and perform data-intensive ad hoc analytics, collaborating with product and delivery teams in an agile environment. You will work within McKinsey's Healthcare Analytics group based in San Jose, Costa Rica, supporting cross-border teams across North America and leveraging a big-data analytics platform. Your qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent area
- 2+ years of experience in the field of business intelligence, application development, database development and ETL and/or data analysis domains with Big Data: SQL, Hive, Databricks and/or Spark knowledge
- Healthcare domain knowledge or interest in healthcare is a plus
- Hands-on coding and application experience with programming languages like Python or similar scripting languages
- Ability to translate business requirements into code
- Excellent time management skills (manage estimated workload according to scope)
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to engage with teams and collectively solve complex problems
- Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid changes common in early-stage product development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel (travel expectation is less than 10%)
