Your Impact

As part of the Tech Ecosystem function, you will work on transforming our data platforms and analytical applications using a cloud-first approach. Collaborating with cross-functional teams—including product managers, data engineers, designers, data scientists, and firm stakeholders—you will deliver scalable data engineering capabilities and pipelines that empower AI, business intelligence, and other core functions to operate effectively using data.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure, leveraging the latest technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, and Confluent. Your responsibilities will include improving tooling and development processes to enhance efficiency, creating internal tools to streamline workflows, and advocating for best practices in data engineering. You will also mentor junior engineers to ensure high-quality code and contribute to team problem-solving, code reviews, and technical discussions.
In the event of production incidents, you will work with the operations team to diagnose and resolve issues quickly, while implementing monitoring solutions to prevent future disruptions. Staying current with industry trends, you will integrate new tools and methodologies, participate in post-mortem analyses, and continuously enhance testing frameworks and tools to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions.
As a member of the central data platform team, you will collaborate with a global, multi-disciplinary group to shape and accelerate the delivery of a target-state data platform. Your work will enable the firm to leverage cutting-edge data assets and capabilities, driving innovation and supporting critical business functions across the organization.

Your qualifications and skills

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a data engineer, with a strong focus on cloud-based data engineering using AWS services
  • Proficiency in PySpark and SQL data pipeline performance and diagnostics
  • Expert user of Snowflake as a data warehouse. Able to debug technical issues in Snowflake and help others navigate the same.
  • Expertise with data engineering on AWS using services such as Glue, Lambda, MWAA, EMR, Opensearch etc.
  • Practicing high coding standards with clean code, modularity, error handling, testing automation and more
  • Solid and demonstrable background in pipeline performance and diagnostics in Spark and SQL, building solutions that efficiently process large data volumes in cost efficient manner
  • Strong experience with relational databases, experience working with vector stores
  • Hands-on experience with Docker
  • Good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps especially in the context of a data engineering practice
  • Good to have functional working knowledge of Kafka, Confluent services.
  • Familiarity with agile principles and product development
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
