Join Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB as a Senior Software Engineer for the DocumentDB migration team. You will contribute to building and maintaining Microsoft's operational database systems, focusing on distributed, AI-enabled data platforms and NoSQL capabilities. You will lead design discussions, translate customer needs into features, and tackle challenging problems in large-scale distributed systems. The role sits within Azure Data's Cosmos DB team, working on mission-critical data infrastructure across relational, non-relational, and OSS offerings.

Within Azure Data, the databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems. We store and manage data in a structured way to enable multitude of applications across various industries. We are on a journey to enable developer friendly, mission-critical, AI enabled operational Databases across relational, non-relational and OSS offerings.
Azure CosmosDB team is a leading nosql database with different API interfaces catering to multiple ecosystem.
We are hiring a senior software engineer for DocumentDB migration team within CosmosDB

Responsibilities
- Sound problem solving skills and good understanding of distributed algorithms.
- Able to lead design discussions and come up with solutions
- Understand Customer needs and translate them into product features
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Experience in working with large scale distributed systems

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

- Preferred demonstrated experience in Apache Airflow
