Join the Operations & Middle Office team to design and implement data analytics, ETL workflows, and BI solutions that improve operational processes and regulatory reporting. Overview:

  • The role involves gathering and running data analytics to improve middle office/operational processes, identify any gaps/risks in procedures and ensure accuracy of regulatory reports.
  • Successful candidate will bring strong technical background to develop ETL workflows, data engineering solutions, business intelligence solutions, MIS/BI reports and process re-engineering documentations, as part of the wider Operations & Middle Office organization.
  • The candidate will work closely with key stakeholders and senior management across departments and regions to design and implement data projects and initiatives to ensure timely delivery.
  • Candidate will also work in parallel with global Operations Control team and work with internal resources/external counterparties to improve processes on ongoing basis.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will perform data transformation tasks to clean, normalize, and structure data for analytics and controls. This may involve writing complex SQL queries, using Python.

  • libraries like pandas for data manipulation or implementing data transformation workflows in Alteryx. Additionally, it may involve integrating with databases, REST APIs, or other data sources, as well as ensuring data quality and integrity.

  • Generating reports on trades, positions, and exposures for internal stakeholders, and regulatory requirements. This involves maintaining accuracy and timeliness in reporting.

  • Automate any manual reporting processes through the development of SQL/Python solutions and/or Tableau Dashboards

  • Navigate through various systems to identify the root cause of issues & work with the relevant stakeholders to implement robust solutions.

  • Build new controls to continuously improve the existing framework

  • Coordinate and work closely with internal teams across Ops, IT, Legal, Compliance and Finance departments globally as necessary and with external parties to deliver projects, regulatory reports, and control frameworks.

  • Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on metrics spanning the operational trade lifecycle including trade volumes, trade edits, matching, settlement, and positions/balances.

Qualifications/Skills Require:

  • Experience in financial services; strong knowledge of financial instruments, securities and derivatives.

  • Experience in performing data transformation/manipulation using Python libraries such as pandas and numpy.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL; experience in implementing business intelligence tools such as Alteryx, PowerShell, Tableau, & UIPath etc.

  • Quick learner; understands financial products and has the ability to grasp new concepts and processes quickly.

  • Self-starter, solid organizational skills, ability to multitask effectively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills (project plans, presentations, data mining, analysis).

  • Detail-oriented; demonstrable thoroughness and strong ownership of work.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with wider teams internally as well as with external parties.

  • Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment; High sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.

  • Exposure to cloud data warehouses like AWS Redshift is a plus.
