Director-level Data Engineer within Enterprise Tech & Services supporting Morgan Stanley's Productivity and Collaboration Fleet. You'll design, build and maintain ETL pipelines, load and optimize data in warehouses/lakes, implement CI/CD and monitoring, ensure data integrity, and optimize performance for large-scale video, conferencing and AI-related systems.

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Data Engineer in Enterprise Tech & Services.

The Productivity and Collaboration Fleet is responsible for, among other things, video streaming and video conferencing that are business critical for Morgan Stanley’s day to day operations, with both seeing rapid expansion of their firmwide usage. The 80K Morgan Stanley users accumulated over one million live and on-demand views on our internal video streaming platforms last year. Also, the current video conference environment supports thousands of video conference room endpoints and thousands of desktop video users. Our fleet is also responsible for supporting and maintaining firm’s AI solutions, like MSFT Copilot, ChatGP

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Data Engineer position at a Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for managing and optimizing technical infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems to support business needs effectively

What you'll do in the role:

- Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines.

- Load data from various source systems to data warehouses or lakes.

- Optimize pipelines for performance and scalability.

- Optimize queries and indexing for performance.

- Ensure data integrity and consistency.

- Automate validation processes, health and monitoring.

- Implement CI/CD for data workflows.

- Document processes and maintain data catalogues.

- Debug failures and optimize resource usage.

What you'll bring to the role:

- Be a self-starter - Good analytical and communication skills - Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent - 3+ years of experience in Python programming or PowerShell scripting

- Experience with continuous integration and development platforms such as Git and Jenkins

- Knowledge of Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS) - 3+ years of operations and development of multiple technology systems in an enterprise environment

- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases - Experience with data warehousing

You might also have:

- Knowledge using collaboration and communication tools (Zoom, Teams, WebEx)
