Senior Manager role leading data transformation and architecture programmes for insurance clients, delivering cloud-native platforms, data mesh/fabric patterns and AI-enabled analytics. Act as trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across underwriting, pricing, claims, finance, actuarial and risk to improve data governance, lineage and regulatory reporting (e.g., Solvency II, IFRS 17). Lead multidisciplinary teams on large-scale transformations, take accountability for delivery, commercials and stakeholder management, and support business development and proposition evolution. Embed AI, automation and modern operating models to strengthen resilience and unlock value from data.

JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role:

As an Insurance Data Senior Manager in our Financial Services Technology, Data & Resilience team, you will support our insurance clients in responding to a rapidly evolving regulatory and market landscape. Whether meeting Solvency II, IFRS 17 or regulatory reporting requirements, or delivering large-scale, technology-enabled transformation such as AI and digital capabilities, you will work side‑by‑side with clients to elevate their data practices and resilience.

We help insurers across GI, Life & Pensions, and the London Market supporting programmes that modernise data platforms, operating models, and analytical capabilities. Our work spans the full insurance value chain covering underwriting, pricing, claims, finance, actuarial and risk. We aim to strengthen governance and enable transformation across both front‑ and back‑office functions, from underwriting and pricing to finance, actuarial, and claims. Our mission is to help clients unlock value through smarter data practices, supported by leading technology and a deep understanding of the insurance sector. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, combining deep insurance domain knowledge with strong data transformation and delivery leadership.

What your days will look like:

  • Data Transformation & Architecture: Lead the design and delivery of enterprise data transformation programmes and design modern data architectures, including cloud native platforms, data mesh and data fabric patterns, ensuring solutions are fit for insurance use cases.
  • Solution Design and Delivery: Lead the development and implementation of data and analytics solutions across insurance functions, such as actuarial modelling and analytics platforms. IFRS 17 and finance data solutions, including sub-ledgers integrations and workflow and automation solutions using low-code / no-code technologies.
  • Programme and Engagement Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams large-scale transformation programmes or a portfolio of smaller engagements, taking accountability for delivery, commercials, risk and stakeholder management
  • Business Development & Proposition Development: Contribute to business development activities, supporting our go-to-market by playing an active role in developing and evolving data transformation propositions for the insurance market. You will build strong client relationships, identify opportunities to extend and deepen engagements across data, technology, finance and operations.
  • Data Strategy and Governance: Lead the development of enterprise‑wide data strategies and operating models, embedding sustainable data management and AI practices aligned to sector‑specific regulatory and operational requirements. You will advise clients on improving data quality, lineage and controls to address regulatory gaps, strengthen oversight and increase confidence in reporting and analytics.
  • AI & Advanced Analytics: Embed AI and advanced analytics capabilities within broader data transformation programmes, including data readiness for AI, automation of data processes, and use of AI-enabled tooling.

The role is for you if:

  • Extensive experience leading data transformation programmes within the insurance sector, covering strategy, architecture, solution design and delivery.
  • Experience in consulting or advisory within the insurance sector, ideally with both client delivery and business development responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to lead large programmes and multi-engagement portfolios, managing senior stakeholders and diverse delivery teams.
  • Strong understanding of the complexity of insurance markets and insurance data, shaped by regulatory scrutiny, customer expectations and legacy environments.
  • Experience designing or overseeing modern data platforms, including cloud-based architectures, data mesh or data fabric approaches.
  • Knowledge of regulatory drivers such as Solvency II and IFRS 17, and data management frameworks such as DAMA, to support improvements in governance, maturity and reporting.

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.

We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
