Qube Research & Technologies seeks a Market Data Analyst in Hong Kong to support all aspects of the firm's market data operations. The role manages contracts and inventory, leads vendor relationships, ensures regulatory reporting and compliance, and resolves data queries. Responsibilities include maintaining organised records, preparing for audits, reconciling invoices, monitoring exchange notifications, and developing tooling to improve team efficiency. Candidates should have 4+ years' market data experience, strong data analysis skills (predominantly Excel), and familiarity with exchanges and permissioning systems.

Join our global Market Data team in Hong Kong as a Market Data Analyst, supporting all aspects of the firm’s market data. The team is responsible for selecting and onboarding products, ensuring compliance and reporting requirements are met, and resolving data queries with providers. The role requires a self-motivated individual with a methodical, logical, and creative approach to problem-solving.

Your future role at QRT:

  • Manage contracts and maintain accurate records in the inventory database (pricing, usernames, departments).
  • Lead vendor relationships, resolving day-to-day queries and information requests.
  • Meet regulatory requirements, including month-end reporting to exchanges.
  • Monitor exchange notifications, assess required actions, and update systems accordingly.
  • Develop tooling and support a variety of market data projects to improve team efficiency.
  • Maintain organised records linking contracts to pricing, user limits, and other key data.
  • Prepare for audits and ensure timely, accurate processing and reconciliation of market data invoices. 

Your present skillset:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 4 + year’s experience working with market data, either at analyst level or equivalent.
  • Experience working with exchanges e.g. LSE, NYSE, Nasdaq, Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv, etc.
  • Experience of permissioning systems such as DACS and EMRS.
  • Experienced working knowledge of reference data, market data and index data with a specific focus on non-display usage.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret large datasets, predominantly in excel and to present the data in a meaningful manner.
  • Detail oriented; comfortable keeping records in online systems.
  • An awareness of the financial services or investing sector.
  • Ability to communicate key information quickly and effectively at the "headline" and detailed level.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks; proven organisational and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and an understanding of access controls and system provisioning is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience within a similar firm a plus.
