You will ensure compliance with IT security standards and contribute to technical PoCs, prototypes and open-source evaluations.

As a Data Platform Engineer, you are responsible for the platform that supports all Data Engineering Teams - dealing with DWH and BI

Your Mission:

  • Develop self-service environments and tools for monitoring with close interaction with the Site Reliability Engineering Team
  • Enhance and improve the tool set that supports engineering teams in all phases of the software development lifecycle (eg Test
    automation, CI/CD-Pipeline, Quality-Checks, Job-Control)
  • Address demands and issues to be compliant with IT Security standards
  • Contribute in technical Proof-of-concepts, prototypes, spikes and evaluation of open source software

Your core competencies:

  • Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Experience with Linux and Bash; comfortable with shell scripting and troubleshooting Linux systems.
  • Familiarity with config management (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Salt)
  • Familiarity with Docker
  • Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • You have very good English skills (at least on level C1)

Nice to have:

  • Coding experience in a high-level language such as Python or Java
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of testing automation (unit, integration, end-to-end tests) in pipelines
  • Basic knowledge in Agile Methodology (Scrum)

What's in it for you:

  • Flexible work week: Flexible hours, work-from-home options from Austria, and 30 days/year remote work from any EU country.
  • International vibe: English as the company language, and work permit support. Our teams thrive on collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Tech community: Regular meet-ups, team buildings, hackathons, communities of practice & tech events
  • Development: Clear career path, online tech courses & trainings
  • Agile way of work: 100+ SCRUM teams, close collaboration with business in agile tribes
  • Stay healthy: Subsidized canteen, well-being programs, check-ups, and sport allowances.
  • Save money: Discounts, exclusive banking terms, and a free public transport pass.
  • Family support: Child allowances, gender-neutral parental leave, bilingual company kindergarten, and holiday childcare.
  • Competitive salary: Starting at EUR 55.000, gross p.a. including overtime, with potential overpayment based on experience and qualifications. We are happy to discuss your actual salary in person.
