The Lead Engineer will design and develop technical solutions by analyzing business requirements and sourcing data using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and other ETL tools. This role involves independently handling complex problems, maintaining application software, and potentially leading projects within the OFSAA development team.
Note: This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 50% of the total number of business days in a given month in the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office. This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future. As part of the OFSAA development team, this Lead Engineer will analyze business requirements and drive research to design technical solutions. This individual will be involved in sourcing data from source systems using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or other ETL tools into the Oracle Financial System Analytical Application Framework (OFSAA) and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the application software. Handles complex problems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking. Responsibilities: Develop existing applications and contribute to development of new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Analyzes system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems. Monitor, identify, and correct more complex software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software. Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts. Design and perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues. Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage. Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code. May lead assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance. May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities. Remains current with new technologies. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills: At least five (5) years of experience in Design, Development and Support of Data-Driven, all aspects of SDLC in a highly scalable multi-tier applications in distributed environments is preferred. Financial services and/or enterprise level experience is required. Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), SQL, PL/SQL modules such as packages, procedures, functions, and other database objects are required. Experience with Unix and Shell scripting. Experience Job scheduler tools like BMC Control-M, Autosys. Experience with Data Warehousing Concepts. Experience with ETL/ Data Flow Principles. Extracting and loading of data from source systems is required. Occasionally work a non-standard shift including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Optional Skills: Knowledge of Python, Java and .NET is optional. Knowledge of OFSAA Application is optional. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps is preferred. Experience with banking applications, securities processing, regulatory reporting, especially in CECL and CCAR are preferred.
