Singapore-based Data Management Analyst 2 on a 6-month contract, focusing on delivering accurate data for investment and client reporting. You will become SME in Data Management processes, manage data attributes in Schroders and third-party platforms, monitor requests with BPO partners, and drive data quality control, governance, and process improvements. The role involves collaborating with global teams, supporting data management projects, and promoting data best practices across internal stakeholders.

Overview of Role/Responsibility

The Data Management group is comprised of 4 teams: Business Data, Securities, Index, and Pricing. The group is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of data to facilitate the investment and client reporting processes. Services are provided directly to internal clients across the Investment, Distribution and Infrastructure divisions within the firm. The team is also responsible for data stewarding, governance and providing MIS on the data sets managed.

Key Responsibilities

•    Become an SME in Data Management processes and procedures, filling knowledge gaps through proactive on desk training with team colleagues.
•    Create and manage data attributes and configurations throughout the life cycle in Schroders and 3rd party platforms.
•    Monitor team mailbox and work collaboratively with our BPO partners (UST) to ensure requests and tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
•    Handle ad-hoc request from multiple teams and prioritise where necessary.
•    Triage, analyse, troubleshoot, offer solutions to stakeholders.
•    Proactive escalation of issues to their managers when required.  
•    Review data quality control exceptions to ensure data is maintained to the highest quality based on data governance principles and agreed rules.  Use knowledge to                 recommend new data quality checks/enhancements.
•    Regularly review processes and procedures.  Suggest improvements to increase efficiency and/or improve the robustness of our operations.
•    Contribute to Data Management projects to help improve the end-to-end process efficiency.
•    Ability to build interaction with and profile of Data Management with key internal stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and promoting data best practices.
•    Support global operating model to achieve operational efficiency and common goals.  Share knowledge and best practice with the global team.

Essential Skills

•    Genuine interest in data and understand the importance of high levels of data quality.
•    Strong teamwork attitude. Be part of a Global team driving and managing dynamic changes to achieve common goals.
•    Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
•    Excellent computer skills, MS office. Experience in using data tool will be advantage.
•    Knowledge and experience of a client operational lifecycle and data structure with a focus on new account take-on process in Investment Management will be useful.
•    Able to adapt to changes quickly and be an advocator of an innovative culture within the team. Experience working in a global team environment would be an advantage.
•    Service delivery oriented and able to work collaboratively across teams.
