SEB Kort is looking for an experienced, technically strong, and driven Data Engineer. You are passionate about building robust, secure, and scalable systems and thrive on solving complex technical challenges as well as sharing your knowledge with others. Joining our dynamic international team, you will play a key role in our mission to be the market leader for corporate payments in Europe.  
 
About the role: 
As a Data Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional international agile team, building and
maintaining scalable and secure solutions that support our wide range of card and payment products. You will plan, design, develop, test, and maintain applications together with your agile team. You will be part of an agile team with the objective of developing a customer facing Business Intelligence web application.  
 
Your responsibilities will include: 
Work together with developers, business analysts and architects to plan, design, develop and test a relational data platform in Azure environment. 
 
- Design and build suitable data solutions and data models as a basis for reporting and advanced analytics 
Adapt concepts to the respective applications (in turns of creating of DDL scripts for Tables, Views and Stored Procedures) 
- Ensuring high standards in code quality, testing, documentation, and system performance  
- Taking an active role in sharing your knowledge, mentoring developers in other teams, supporting stakeholders and contributing to improving customer experience  
 
Who you are 
We believe you are an experienced Data Engineer who combines strong technical skills with excellent communication ability. You are a problem-solver, team player, and systems thinker who takes initiative and contributes to the bigger picture, always with the customer in mind.  
Who we are looking for:
  • Passionate in designing and building data solutions, enjoy learning, sorting out problems and a goal-oriented way of working 
  • A completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification 
  • At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience in data warehouse development in Azure  
  • Excellent knowledge in SQL, Spark, Azure DB 
  • Experience with service buses/streaming platforms (particularly Kafka) 
  • Knowledge of Java, Maven, git and Jenkins (our toolset for automated deployment in Linux) 
  • Practical experience with DevOps and agile methodologies is a must 
  • Practical experience with statistical analysis, Kubernetes, or micro-services solutions in the finance service sector is beneficial 
  • Fluency in English
