Graduate opportunity at the ICAP Relative Value (ICRV) Fixed Income execution desk, designed for a technology-driven analyst who wants to own robust tools and data capabilities powering the desk. The role operates on a 70/30 split between technology/analytics and an execution workflow rotation, including a year-long training program to become a registered broker. You will design and maintain Excel-based applications, data pipelines, and analytics tools to support pricing, valuation, and risk management, while supporting day-to-day trading operations. This on-site, Florida-based program includes a phased development track with rotations through execution and data engineering to broaden market knowledge and technical skills.

The Group operates from more than 60 offices in 27 countries. We are 5,300 people strong. We work as one to achieve our vision of being the world’s most trusted, innovative, liquidity and data solutions specialist.

About ICAP

ICAP, part of TP ICAP group, provides a wide variety of execution and information services to wholesale market participants.

We offer broking services covering a wide range of asset classes, including Commodities, Credit, Equities, FX, Money Market Funds and Rates.

For each asset class, ICAP offers e-trading capability, giving clients the option to enter prices and execute trades directly via one of our hybrid electronic trading systems, or to engage with brokers who can identify and negotiate trades

Role Overview:

This graduate opportunity sits at the intersection of technology and trading within the ICAP Relative Value (ICRV) Fixed Income execution team. It is designed for a technology-driven analyst who wants to build and own the robust tools and data capabilities that power the desk, while gaining first-hand exposure to trade execution.

The role operates on a 70/30 split: approximately 70% of your time will focus on technology, analytics, and tooling, while the remaining 30% provides a guided rotation into execution workflows. During this rotation, you will undertake a year-long training program and complete the necessary exams to become a fully registered broker. As part of a truly global team, you will collaborate daily with international colleagues to drive the desk’s performance.

The position emphasises designing and maintaining Excel-based applications, data pipelines, and analytics tools that drive the desk’s decision-making, all while supporting day-to-day trading operations. The right candidate is autonomous, detail-oriented, and comfortable with data. We are looking for someone motivated to learn how technology and execution intersect in fixed income markets, who possesses strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a small team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly experienced team and would be perfect for somebody looking to start their career in Financial Services.

Development Programme

Phase 1 - Execution Learning & Training (Months 0–3):

  • Build a practical foundation in the fixed income execution lifecycle, controls, and desk workflow— while completing licensing requirements.

  • You will absorb the fundamentals of Fixed Income (Bonds, IR Futures, Options) and the relative value concepts that drive our business. Simultaneously, you will map out our technical infrastructure, learning how our tools ingest data and inform strategy.

  • You will have the ability to navigate the desk’s workflow and identify optimizations.

Phase 2 - Execution Rotation (Months 39):

  • Apply Phase 1 learning in supervised production workflows, focusing on operational discipline and risk controls.

  • A guided rotation into live execution workflows. You will perform supervised trade input, reconciliation, and quote support

  • You will use this user experience to re-engineer our tools, applying your first-hand trading experience to fix pain points in the technology stream.

Phase 3 - Data & Engineering Track (Months 9+):

  • Learn and apply technology foundations to build scalable, reliable tools and data capabilities for the desk.

  • With your exams complete and market knowledge secured, you will pivot to deeper data engineering.

  • Leading initiatives in development, optimization, and exploring advanced languages (Python/VBA) to future-proof the desk’s capabilities.

Workplace: On site in Florida, 5 days in-office

  • Analyse daily workflows to identify manual inefficiencies (e.g., in market reporting or data entry) and build automated tools to speed up these processes.

  • Assist in integrating desk-specific tools with the team’s core trading systems, helping to maintain data feeds, spec connections, and help test feature changes.
