As an Analytics Consultant at Wells Fargo, you will consult with business lines on research and use non-model quantitative tools to support strategic decision making. You will perform analyses of findings and trends, develop customized reports and ad hoc analyses, and present recommendations to increase revenue, reduce expenses, and maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance. The role includes identifying business requirements, translating data and business needs into research and recommendations, and collaborating with technology and other business groups on database structures, analytics software, storage, and processing. You will ensure adherence to data governance and risk management requirements and participate in company initiatives to meet strategic goals.
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking for a Analytics Consultant.
In this role, you will:
Consult with business line and enterprise functions on less complex research
Use functional knowledge to assist in non-model quantitative tools that support strategic decision making
Perform analysis of findings and trends using statistical analysis and document process
Present recommendations to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance
Identify and define business requirements and translate data and business needs into research and recommendations to improve efficiency
Participate in all group technology efforts including design and implementation of database structures, analytics software, storage, and processing
Develop customized reports and ad hoc analyses to make recommendations and provide guidance to less experienced staff
Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policies
Participate in company initiatives or processes to assist in meeting risk and capital objectives and other strategic goals
Collaborate and consult with more experienced consultants and with partners in technology and other business groups
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualification
2+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis
Hands-on experience in SQL especially in Oracle, SQL Server & Teradata environment
Hands-on experience in SAS, Python, Tableau/Power BI. Experience in Power Automate is preferred.
Well versed with SDLC, production cycle and release management.
Intellectually curious/ quick thinker
Good data interpretation and presentation skills
Willingness/ability to take ownership of a project
Being able to adapt to change
Thrives in a collaborative team environment and is able to work effectively with teams in remote locations
Comfortable in a virtual environment, e.g. conference calls and webinars
Bring a culture of operational excellence and enhancements
Good team player
