Join Allianz Global Investors as a Portfolio Manager for Private Debt Secondaries, based in New York. We are hiring a Portfolio Manager for Private debt secondaries. This position is based in New York

 

With a footprint across Europe, US, and Asia, the Global Private debt team invests in private debt primaries, secondaries, and co-investments on behalf of Allianz and third-party clients. The team currently comprises an   international and diverse group of ten investment professionals. As part of growing importance of credit secondaries for the platform, the team is now seeking to hire a new investment professional to support the growth of the   segment.

 

What you do:

  • Entrepreneurial and dynamic work environment
  • The new team member will be part of a leading and growing investment platform and will focus predominantly on private debt secondary opportunities
  • Identification, structuring, negotiation and execution of LP- and GP-led transactions
  • Run due diligence process, preparation of materials and presentation of investment opportunities in investment committee meetings.
  • Active role in life cycle management of investments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with fund managers, institutional investors, and other stakeholders
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)

 

What you bring:

  • You like to support a growing business, applying your skills to add value to a variety of tasks including business/product development, fundraising, asset management, and various internal initiatives.
  • Excellent academic track record, CFA certification preferred
  • You have gained 10+ years of working experience in private debt, direct lending or an investment bank in the field of M&A, leveraged finance or structured finance. Experience in private debt secondaries or transactions are an advantage.
  • Understanding of key ESG concepts and a general appreciation of sustainable investing.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with high level of attention to detail.
  • Ambitious, self-motivated with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficient in English in writing and speaking
  • Collaborative mindset and strong communication abilities 
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.

 

Job posting range:  $250,000.00 - $350,000.00

Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
