Role Overview
We are looking for you! We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Procurement Analytics Intern (f/m/x) for a minimum of 6 months, up to 1 year. This position is based in our Munich office and reports directly to Allianz Direct Senior Procurement Officer.
As a Procurement Analytics Intern, you will support the procurement team by collecting and analyzing data related to procurement activities, supplier engagements, and key performance indicators (KPIs). This role will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in procurement analytics, supplier due diligence, and strategic sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
KPI Monitoring and Reporting
Assist in tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) through structured data collection and analysis.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate procurement involvement and the application of sourcing strategies across projects;
- Support the review and tracking of supplier due diligence processes to ensure alignment with internal policies and best practices;
- Maintain a compliance tracker to monitor actions and maintain alignment with procurement requirements;
- Analysis of spend patterns and cost-saving opportunities across business units.
Demand Visibility and Renewal Tracking
Support the collection and consolidation of upcoming procurement needs across stakeholders to improve visibility, track contract renewals, and ensure timely planning of sourcing activities.
Contract Administration & Documentation Management
Tracking and updating of procurement contracts, ensuring proper archiving of documentation, and coordinating internal and external signatures to support compliance and audit requirements.
Market and Supplier Research
Conduct targeted research to benchmark suppliers and provide insights that inform sourcing strategies.
Insights Presentation Development
Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations that communicate key findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Team Collaboration and Engagement
Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions on procurement analytics, sourcing strategies, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain through coursework, academic projects, or internships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work with data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Basic understanding of procurement principles or contract negotiation concepts is a plus.
- Familiarity with compliance considerations and ethical procurement practices, either through academic exposure or personal initiative.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders and presenting findings in a structured and concise manner.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are an asset.
