Lead Data Analyst to join Vanguard's Brokerage & Investments (B&I) Cash Analytics team in Charlotte, supporting KPI reporting and advanced analyses to influence cash product strategy. This role partners with the Cash business to uncover insights, develops data-driven strategies, forecasting and customer segmentation, and helps shape enterprise priorities for 2025. The analyst will own recurring analytic/reporting processes and present findings with expert visualizations to drive actionable solutions. The position includes mentoring others and participating in internal analytics seminars to grow Vanguard's analytics community.

Analyzes data, assesses trends and develops actionable insights and recommendations in support of large strategic business initiatives. Actively develops the analytics community at Vanguard by coaching others internally and participating in external events.

Vanguard's Brokerage & Investments (B&I) Cash Analytics team is growing! We have an opening for an experienced data analyst to support PI's top KR and one of the Enterprise Operating Priorities for 2025 - Cash. The B&I Analytics team supports Personal Investor's Brokerage & Investments business. This analyst will partner closely with the Cash business to uncover insights and will help to shape the strategy that drives better cash product adoption. The analyst will be responsible for a range of analytical tasks including ownership of KPI reporting all the way through advanced analyses (drivers analyses, development of data-driven strategies to influence business strategies, forecasting, client segmentation modeling etc.)

Core Responsibilities

  • Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals. Brings structure to business requests, translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and leads complex projects through completion. Delegates tasks and provides tactical and strategic guidance to peers. Serves as the analytics expert on cross-functional teams for large strategic initiatives.

  • Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy and reasonableness.

  • Performs analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods. Validates analytical techniques employed by other analysts.

  • Prepares and delivers expert level visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement.

  • Develops, owns and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes.

  • Actively develops the analytics community at Vanguard by mentoring, coaching and connecting others with resources and training. Participates and presents during scheduled analytics seminars.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years related work experience.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
