Lead Experimentation Analyst to drive the strategic use of experimentation across Vanguard's marketing initiatives. Design and implement in-market tests to validate attribution models and evaluate new marketing strategies, and develop robust experimentation frameworks with rigorous causal inference. Collaborate with marketing, data science, and analytics teams to identify high-impact testing opportunities, analyze outcomes, and deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Champion a test-and-learn culture across marketing and analytics, ensuring scalability and interpretability across digital and offline channels.

We are seeking a Lead Experimentation Analyst to drive the strategic use of experimentation across marketing initiatives. This role is perfect for someone who excels at the intersection of marketing strategy, analytics, and scientific experimentation—transforming complex business challenges into rigorous, scalable test designs. In this position, you will: • Design and implement in-market experiments to validate attribution models and evaluate new marketing strategies. • Collaborate with marketing, data science, and analytics teams to identify high-impact testing opportunities and ensure alignment with business objectives. • Develop and maintain robust experimentation frameworks that uphold statistical rigor and enable causal inference. • Analyze experimental outcomes to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations. • Act as the go-to expert on experimentation best practices within the Marketing Analytics organization. • Champion a test-and-learn culture across marketing teams, advocating for data-driven decision-making through experimentation. • Partner with Marketing and Analytics stakeholders to prioritize and validate hypotheses derived from attribution models. • Ensure experiments are scalable, interpretable, and impactful across both digital and offline channels. • Contribute to special projects and perform additional duties as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals. Brings structure to business requests, translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and leads complex projects through completion.
  • Delegates tasks and provides tactical and strategic guidance to peers. Serves as the analytics expert on cross-functional teams for large strategic initiatives.
  • Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy and reasonableness.
  • Performs analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods. Validates analytical techniques employed by other analysts.
  • Prepares and delivers expert level visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement.
  • Develops, owns and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes.
  • Actively develops the analytics community at Vanguard by mentoring, coaching and connecting others with resources and training. Participates and presents during scheduled analytics seminars.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of eight years of related work experience with five years in marketing experimentation, causal inference, or advanced analytics
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing ecosystems, including channels, platforms, and measurement strategies
  • Proven experience designing and analyzing A/B tests, holdout tests, and other causal inference methods
  • Familiarity with Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) frameworks
  • Strong technical fluency in data, analytics, and statistical modeling; ability to collaborate effectively with data scientists and engineers
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
