Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
  • 1 year of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Experience in SQL (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MapReduce).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • 1 year of experience with one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, or C++.
  • 1 year of experience with machine learning systems.
  • Experience with fraud and abuse in online platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Scaled Abuse Analyst, you will be solving technological challenges and setting scalable standards in the ever-evolving impersonation space.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced statistical methods to data sets to understand impact of abuse to the YouTube ecosystem. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for abuse prevention and enforcement.
  • Learn technical concepts and systems and deliver meaningful results using them. Communicate technical results and methods clearly.
  • Identify product vulnerabilities and abuse trends by performing investigations using various data sources. Contribute strategy and development of new workflows against additional known vectors of abuse.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and partners in engineering, product, policy, and legal to drive anti-abuse solutions involving and impacting various cross-functional areas.
