Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience programming in C++ and SQL.
  • 3 years of experience with one or more of the following: reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience with Deep Learning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with ML model fine-tuning, evaluation, and performance optimization for user-facing systems.

Work on the Quality of the Maps product across various sub products and initiatives. The limited real estate available, multiple surfaces/modes users engage with and the fact that most of the interactions are queryless makes this space unique in new ways. We have work across new formats and quality models predicting clicks, local conversions, etc in early stages. The scope involves working across the stack and improving the quality and business of maps.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Write and test product or system development code.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand issues and translate them into effective solution designs, partnering with Product, UX, and other engineering teams.
  • Identify new areas of improvement and drive a roadmap for new initiatives.
  • Develop, test, and monitor scalable, and reliable web solutions that meet business needs.
