Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and working with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
  • 5 years of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in ideation of technology and passion for development and the use of cross-platform shared code.
  • Understanding of ML Systems and Infrastructure for production with knowledge to engage with customers and engineers.
  • Understanding of GenAI model development workflows for post-training and product fine-tuning, including multimodal and generative media.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance AI-data infrastructure for improving model iteration for all use-cases, while performing Individual Contributor (IC) work.
  • Address challenges in model iteration workflows such as data sourcing, data sampling, evaluation automation, loss analysis.
  • Build and optimize infrastructure for developing and deploying data quality signals and autoraters, including tools for prompting, large-scale inference, visualization, and evaluation.
  • Address the technical challenges of the evolving field of Generative AI (GenAI), working to create solutions.
  • Interact with the partner model-quality teams in CloudAI teams. Work with various partner teams in AI-data and customer teams (Google products). Drive GenAI models through focus on model capability improvements from data.
