Join Vanguard's Brokerage & Investments (B&I) Cash Analytics team as a Sr. Data Analyst. You will partner with the Cash business to uncover insights and shape strategy for cash product adoption. You will develop and deliver advanced analytics, dashboards, and reporting, mentoring others and leading complex projects. Strong SQL, Python, Tableau, data storytelling required.

Vanguard's Brokerage & Investments (B&I) Cash Analytics team is growing! We have an opening for an experienced data analyst to support PI's top KR and one of the Enterprise Operating Priorities for 2025 - Cash. The B&I Analytics team supports Personal Investor's Brokerage & Investments business. This analyst will partner closely with the Cash business to uncover insights and will help to shape the strategy that drives better cash product adoption.

The ideal candidate has:

  • A deep understanding of or interest to learn about the Brokerage & Investments business and PI product offerings

  • Strong technical skill set (SQL, Python and Tableau preferred) Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver actionable data stories (e.g decks) to executives motivating data-driven decisions.

  • Desire & ability to collaborate closely with our business partners to consult & gather requirements

  • Experience in building resilient reporting products (e.g. dashboards)

  • Exposure to advanced analytics techniques (e.g. experimentation, predictive modeling, forecasting, clustering) experience.

  • Experience with PI enterprise Data

Responsibilities:

  • Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals. Brings structure to business requests, translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and leads complex projects through completion. Delegates tasks and provides tactical and strategic guidance to peers. Serves as the analytics expert on cross-functional teams for large strategic initiatives.

  • Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy and reasonableness.

  • Performs analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods. Validates analytical techniques employed by other analysts.

  • Prepares and delivers expert level visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement.

  • Develops, owns and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes.

  • Actively develops the analytics community at Vanguard by mentoring, coaching and connecting others with resources and training. Participates and presents during scheduled analytics seminars.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years related work experience.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Python, SQL and Tableau experience required.

  • Data science experience preferred.
