Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with machine learning infrastructure.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., JAX, PyTorch, or TensorFlow) or compilers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with machine learning modeling.
  • Experience with kernels.
  • Experience coding in C++ for low-level performance and Python for framework integration.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and a high degree of self-motivation.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a part of the central machine learning platform team, you will contribute to delivering performance Machine Learning (ML) software tools and infrastructure to all the Google first part product areas , including Search, Ads, YouTube, and Vertex. You will make it easier to perform ML experimentation, development and productionization. We work closely with Google Research and DeepMind to bring new ML models and innovation across the stack to market. You will be able to better meet the issues of the rapidly evolving hardware and software space around ML.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive strategy and execution accelerating TPU Ecosystem by building a performant, ML software stack, and accelerating the ecosystem to support TPU deployment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product and technical program management leadership to align project priorities and schedules.
  • Partner with partner product areas on managing expectations and ensuring smooth delivery by minimizing escalations.
  • Identify and solve cross-functional and inter-team issues quickly.
  • Manage multiple interdependent projects of high complexity and scope while managing communication of objectives, progress, and project status with stakeholders.
