Join eero's Automation / AI team as a Software Development Engineer focused on AI-first automation. You will design and build scalable automated test frameworks, architect AI-powered test generation and predictive failure analysis, and own AWS infrastructure for distributed test automation. You will lead front-end development for test monitoring dashboards and collaborate to improve CI/CD pipelines for performance and scalability. This role blends AI, automation, and software engineering to accelerate rapid, reliable product releases for home WiFi systems.
You'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing next-generation automation solutions that enable rapid, reliable releases for our industry-leading home WiFi systems. This is an opportunity to work with new technologies, pioneer AI-native approaches to testing and automation, and see your innovations directly accelerate product velocity.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and build scalable automated test frameworks and tooling across multiple product lines
- Architect AI-powered solutions for intelligent test generation and predictive failure analysis
- Own and optimize AWS infrastructure supporting distributed test automation systems
- Lead front-end development for test monitoring and analytics platforms
- Drive CI/CD pipeline architecture improvements for performance and scalability
- Partner with engineering and QA organizations to define automation strategy and roadmaps
- Research and implement AI technologies to advance testing capabilities
A day in the life
You might start your day reviewing test failure patterns from overnight runs, leveraging AI to rapidly triage and identify root causes and generate bug reports. After standup, you could work on improving test framework reliability, or debug a new React dashboard that visualizes test metrics for the upcoming release.
The afternoon might involve collaborating with product, dev, and QA teams on how to automate tests for new features, followed by optimizing how tests are distributed across available testbeds. You balance immediate firefighting (why did the nightly regress?) with strategic work (reducing execution time by 50%).
