We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to lead this exciting new innovative program in US. We build the automated products to measure the customer experience and digital products performance on the devices around the world. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying sophisticated engineering systems for measuring customer CX. You will collaborate closely with a team of engineers and scientists to influence our overall strategy, and define the team’s roadmap. You will drive system architecture, spearhead best practices, and mentor junior engineers. You will focus on driving the next wave of innovation to measure the digital experience in terms of latency and quality. You will lead the team to expand the automation with AWS IoT, GenAI, and strive for exposing the visual / audio analytic capability as self-service. You will lead the team to leverage AI and quantitative analysis to challenge conventional wisdom with hard data.
Key job responsibilities
- Leading the design, development, and maintenance of systems, ensuring they meet Amazon’s growing scale.
- Work with technical stakeholders from across the company to solve big problems, align on technical direction, and make sure our systems continue to meet their evolving needs.
- Grow the junior developers on the team and set a high bar for engineering best practices.

Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) is an organization made up of a diverse suite of functions dedicated to deeply understanding and improving customer experience, globally. We are a team of builders that develop products, services, ideas, and various ways of leveraging data to influence product and service offerings - for almost every business at Amazon - for every customer (E.g., consumers, developers, sellers/brands, employees, investors, streamers, gamers).
Our approach is based on determining the customer need, along with problem solving, and we work backwards from there. We use technical and non-technical approaches and stay aware of industry and business trends. We are a global team, made up of a diverse set of profiles, skills and backgrounds - including: Product Managers, Software Developers, Computer Vision experts, Solutions Architects, Data Scientist, Business Intelligence Engineers, Business Analysts, Risk Managers, and more.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
