Join Amazon's Middle Mile Transportation Technology team to build scalable, high-availability systems that optimize time and cost in the global transportation network. You will develop intelligent systems powered by ML and GenAI to predict and automatically resolve disruptions, and deploy models for predictive analytics. You will leverage GenAI for intelligent automation and decision support, and work with customers and stakeholders across levels. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural planning and operational excellence for high-volume web services.

You'll develop an intelligent system powered by ML and GenAI to automatically resolve disruptions occurring in the real world. You will build and deploy machine learning models for predictive analytics and leverage generative AI for intelligent automation and decision support. You will regularly interact with our customers, and engineering and business stakeholders across senior levels. You will participate in the planning and execution of technology projects and operational excellence initiatives. You'll help junior engineers develop their skills, and continue to raise the bar and build the future of Amazon.

To accomplish this, you will be expected to have an established background in building highly scalable systems and applications, experience with ML/GenAI technologies, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex software systems, is customer-centric, and strives to build good software as well as making that software achieve its operational goals. Experience with building and operating web-based applications and/or web services-based applications, especially at massive scale, will be very applicable and helpful.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Undergraduate degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, computer science or a related field, or experience working for Amazon or any Amazon subsidiary or affiliate

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
