Lead and empower the Supplier Engagement analytics team with data-driven insights and automated analytics solutions. Build self-service reporting and dashboards using QuickSight, Tableau and other BI tools, and develop automated negotiation tools to support joint business planning. Leverage Amazon AI tools (Bedrock and generative AI) to enhance reporting, uncover revenue opportunities, and optimize merchandising strategies. Partner with Merchandising and Negotiation Manager teams to translate data into actionable recommendations and drive supplier relationships and category growth.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop and maintain automated reporting systems and dashboards using QuickSight, Tableau, and other BI tools that enable comprehensive analysis of supplier performance, market trends, and category opportunities across merchandising and negotiation functions
• Build automated negotiation tools, interactive dashboards, and self-service reporting solutions that support joint business planning and category reviews, empowering teams to independently access and act on critical supplier and category performance data
• Leverage Amazon AI tools ( Bedrock applications, and other generative AI capabilities) to enhance data reporting and analysis, creating intelligent insights that identify revenue opportunities and optimize merchandising strategies
• Conduct data-driven analysis of commodity markets, supplier performance, and category trends using advanced SQL and BI tools to derive key insights and actionable recommendations that improve merchandising business outcomes
• Partner with Merchandising and Negotiation Manager teams to shape the analytics strategy, communicate complex findings through clear visualizations and executive presentations, and drive data-informed decisions that align stakeholders around business objectives
• Lead cross-functional analytics initiatives that improve business processes, optimize supplier negotiations, and enhance category management effectiveness
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree- 7+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
- 5+ years of business or financial analysis, product costing, procurement, or a quantitative role experience
- 5+ years of communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience and presenting to senior leadership
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for complex data analysis and modeling
- Expert-level knowledge of writing and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Extensive experience designing and building automated reporting systems, interactive dashboards, and self-service analytics solutions using business intelligence and visualization tools including QuickSight and Tableau
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and generative AI capabilities to enhance analytics and reporting
- Degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA- Experience in commodity markets, including market analysis, pricing trends, and supply chain dynamics
- Background in merchandising, sourcing, or consulting with demonstrated ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions and drive strategic initiatives
- Experience in data mining and working with large-scale, complex datasets in a business environment
- Proven track record of building scalable, automated analytics solutions that enable self-service reporting across organizations
- Experience leading analytics projects that drive measurable business impact and influence executive decision-making
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and align cross-functional teams around data-driven strategies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
