Based in London, AXA XL’s Specialty Claims team is seeking a Business Analyst (Data Analytics) to provide data-driven insights across Specialty Claims, Financial Lines and Motor Claims. You will monitor claims performance metrics, produce timely MI and dashboards for governance, and surface portfolio trends to inform underwriting, reserving and customer outcomes. You will support data quality fixes, deliver ad hoc analyses, and contribute to the quarterly Underwriting Business Review and reporting improvements by identifying tools to simplify processes. The role emphasizes collaboration across Claims, Underwriting, Actuarial and other stakeholders, with a focus on continuous improvement and productivity.
Business Analyst (Data Analytics) - Specialty Claims London, UK This role provides a fantastic opportunity to support Specialty, Financial Lines and Motor Claims in the UK. The role will be varied and is ideal for someone who is looking to work with a diverse and motivated team to enact our Claims strategy supporting the business deliver profitable growth. As Specialty Claims Business Analyst in the UK & Lloyd’s region you will provide data insights that strengthen the operational oversight of Specialty Claims, while surfacing portfolio trends that inform underwriting , reserving and customer outcomes. You will also support the continuous improvement agenda by identifying operational efficiencies through data- driven recommendations and to support technology solutions that enhance productivity and simplify activities. What you’ll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include? Monitor claims performance metrics (operational and portfolio) and provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders Provide clear, timely MI and dashboards for governance that trigger targeted interventions and measurable improvement in service levels, ultimately improving customer outcomes. Monitor and produce Specialty claims trend packs that provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Support the Underwriting Quarterly Business Review Process by creating the line of business claims materials to be included Support data quality fixes Support Specialty Claims colleagues with data analysis fq’capabilities Identify existing tools that can be used to simplify reporting that reduces manual effort and multiple touchpoints. Support analysis of the Delegated Authority portfolio to ensure appropriate insights can be analyzed more deeply by the claims team and feedback provided to stakeholders. Produce timely and reliable ad hoc claims MI with supporting analysis where necessary. Support secretarial duties of relevant meetings to ensure robust governance in place You will report to Head of Specialty, Financial Lines & Motor Claims. What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Demonstrable experience in data and analytics Significant digital literacy & experience of data tools such as Power BI, SQL etc Ability to craft short, visual narratives for senior forums Confident facilitation across Claims, Underwriting, Actuarial and other stakeholders Knowledge of claims and regulatory landscape would be beneficial but not essential Project management experience would be beneficial but not essential Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities.
