Lead and develop the Actuarial Pricing & Portfolio Analytics teams, aligning strategy with CGIO’s vision and driving P&L performance with a focus on loss ratio and profitability. Own technical pricing across P&C portfolios, ensure pricing methodologies are transparent, and integrate AI-powered pricing engines and ML models for dynamic market-responsive pricing. Establish portfolio analytics frameworks by channel, product, and customer segment, delivering actionable recommendations to underwriting, distribution and product development, and translating analytics into strategic initiatives including product design and customer retention. Drive governance, AI ethics, and regulatory compliance while building organizational capability and fostering a data-first culture.

Responsibilities: People & Business Leadership Lead and develop the Actuarial Pricing & Portfolio Analytics teams, aligning departmental strategy with CGIO’s vision. Build organizational capability in pricing and analytics, fostering governance, structure, and talent development. Drive CGIO P&L performance, focusing on loss ratio improvement and profitability. Champion a data-first culture that embraces AI, automation, and continuous learning. Technical Pricing Excellence Own technical pricing across P&C portfolios and products, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment. Provide clear, insightful, and transparent communication of pricing methodologies, assumptions, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and fostering trust. Balance competitiveness, profitability, and customer value while ensuring compliance. Integrate AI-powered pricing engines and machine learning models for dynamic, market-responsive pricing. Portfolio Analytics & Data Insights Establish frameworks for portfolio monitoring by channel, product, and customer segment. Lead profitability analysis of underperforming products, delivering actionable recovery plans. Drive segmentation and benchmarking to enhance retention, acquisition, and cross-sell opportunities. Apply predictive modeling, GLMs, and AI-driven forecasting to anticipate market shifts and claims trends. Deploy generative AI for scenario testing, automated reporting, and insight visualization. Translate analytics into actionable recommendations for underwriting, distribution, and product development. Ensure analytics directly inform strategic initiatives, including product design and customer retention. Governance & Strategic Projects Act as Project Sponsor, SteerCo Member, or SME for pricing and portfolio-related initiatives. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and risk management requirements. Represent Pricing & Portfolio Analytics in committees, contributing to AXA HK’s strategic goals. Drive adoption of AI governance frameworks to ensure ethical, transparent, and compliant use of AI. Qualifications: Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field; ACII/FCII preferred. 8+ years’ leadership experience in insurance, with deep industry knowledge. Strong business acumen and understanding of insurance economics. Thorough knowledge of Hong Kong’s market, competitors, and customer segments. Proven expertise in pricing model development; actuarial background advantageous. Advanced data analysis skills with ability to communicate insights meaningfully. Experience with AI-powered tools for pricing, portfolio monitoring, and decision support. Flexible and agile in responding to market, customer, and regulatory changes. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Excellent written and spoken English. Open to explore the use of AI-powered tools for pricing models, portfolio monitoring, and decision support. Flexibility and agility to respond to changing market trends, customer behaviors, and regulatory requirements. Advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop mutually beneficial external and internal relationships. Well-developed written and spoken English language skills.
