Job Description:

Leadership

  • Deliver the People agenda; lead on HSSE and E&C, build capability and develop talent, and ensure effective execution of the teams accountabilities;

  • Provide clarity of roles and accountabilities for direct reports and work to inspire and motivate your team and the wider organisation to raise the bar on performance;

  • Embed the new ways of working, driving collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement to enhance performance in the GBS in support of the Business Segment agenda;

  • Lead and coach the team, ensuring effective execution of the team’s accountabilities with focus on continuous improvement.

Business Partnering and Performance Insights

  • Establish and maintain proactive and effective relationships with the Accounting, Reporting and Control, Finance and Business teams and supporting functions to ensure underlying performance is well understood, to proactively challenge and propose performance improvements, and to monitor & investigate anomalies & trends especially in fraud analytics.

  • Proactively work together with the supported teams to identify focus areas and propose/implement process improvements

  • Act as the key point of contact for the dashboard metrics and risk management reporting for GBS. Drive an efficient and effective interface with the GBS leadership teams and all the operational teams and ensuring robust & timely reporting for the Leadership team.

Risk, Control, Compliance, Accounting & Reporting

  • Support a strong internal control environment, complying with BP Policies and Procedures (e.g. T&E Policy, DofA, RMR, ICFR);

  • Actively updates regulatory and compliance knowledge;

  • Actively identifies requirements for additional fraud analytics scenario;

  • Challenges non-compliance or areas of weakness identified and escalate to leadership for further mitigation plan.

  • Actively providing feedback on continuous improvement for existing fraud analytic scenario and other existing processes.  

Strategic Planning & Performance Reporting

  • Carry out the monthly or quarterly or half yearly dashboard and RMR reports in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Accountable for the fraud analytics review and reportng activities;

  • Accountable for providing timely, accurate and reliable management information including analysis, interpretation and insight;

  • Support business performance conversations especially in RMR and group control dashboard with the Executive;
