This will support the delivery of an enhanced customer experience and drive innovation by building global capabilities at scale, maximising  technology, and developing deep expertise. The BTC will be a core and connected part of our business, bringing together colleagues who report into their respective part of C&P, working together with other functions across bp. About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst – Global Supply Chain to lead end‑to‑end analytics, business intelligence, and process enablement across all Global Supply Chain (GSC) Value Centres, including Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, Direct Procurement, Production Scheduling, Manufacturing, Logistics, Inventory Management, and Supply Finance.

In this role, you will combine deep data analytics expertise with strong supply chain process knowledge, ERP transaction understanding, and master data fluency. You will collaborate with global business leaders and cross‑functional partners (Technology, GBS, PUs, Functions, Markets) to deliver business transformation, optimize process performance, and accelerate data‑driven decision‑making.

You will play a key role in the Data & Analytics Team, supporting scalable BI solutions, robust data foundations, and sustainable adoption of Digital, Data & Analytics capabilities. Success in this role requires strong analytical capability, excellent stakeholder engagement, and fluency in agile ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Manage and maintain BI, analytics, and data science tools within the Data Management Framework.

  • Develop mathematical and statistical models to deliver optimisation insights and scenario‑based analysis.

  • Ensure Data Lake outputs provide high‑quality, timely, and business‑ready insights.

  • Support the embedding of ML/AI toolkits aligned to business strategy.

  • Build Power BI data models and prototypes for dashboards and advanced analytical solutions.

2. Process & Operational Excellence

  • Support the Process Framework and maintain minimum design principles across all GSC Value Centres.

  • Translate end‑to‑end process requirements into data, analytics, and digital needs.

  • Drive process optimisation, transactional fluidity, and master data quality improvements.

  • Act as process TAG for ERP design, configuration, and integration with analytics solutions.

  • Support deployment and operationalisation of process and digital improvements.

3. Data Modelling & Architecture

  • Support the Data Modelling Framework and structure for the Harmonized Data Lake.

  • Partner with Data Architects and MI Leads to address scalable data challenges across regions and functions.

  • Interpret modelling constraints and analytical outputs to support high‑quality decision‑making.

  • Source, manipulate, enrich, and integrate high‑complexity datasets from multiple systems.

4. Change Delivery & Transformation

  • Contribute to the Digital, Data & Analytics Change Backlog to drive incremental business value.

  • Design and execute the Business Change Backlog for process and data transformation initiatives.

  • Lead the adoption of new tools and capabilities, upskilling business users as the digital ecosystem evolves.

  • Manage project deliverables and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across global time zones.

5. Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as SME for digital, data, or analytics projects, ensuring strategic alignment throughout delivery.

  • Work closely with global experts in Process, Data, Advanced Analytics, and Data Science.

  • Influence senior stakeholders with clear, data-driven recommendations.

  • Ensure integration and alignment across teams to deliver scalable global‑to‑local solutions.

Experience & Qualifications:​

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Analytics or Data Science within Supply Chain Operations.

  • Demonstrated success delivering analytics‑driven insights within major ERP and business transformation projects.

  • Deep understanding of GSC processes, hand‑offs, data flows, and ERP integration points.

  • Experience with cloud‑based architecture, streaming data, and large‑scale modelling.

  • Strong track record of issue resolution through collaborative, solution‑oriented thinking.

Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills

  • Advanced data modelling for high‑dimensional, complex datasets.

  • Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in ML/AI and statistical modelling.

  • Experience using modelling tools (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, GAMS, AMPL, AIMMS).

  • Expertise in Power BI data modelling and dashboard development.

  • Understanding of master data, transactional data, and Data Governance frameworks.

Process & Digital Skills

  • Skilled in end‑to‑end process design and optimisation across GSC Value Centres.

  • Proficient in agile methodology (Scrum Master, Product Owner, SME).

  • Ability to connect data, process, operating models, and system design.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Strong influencing skills and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.

  • Comfortable working across time zones and driving global initiatives.

  • Solution‑focused approach with ability to scale global standards to local execution.
