Take ownership of the AI solution design from inception through delivery and live operation, addressing technical challenges in partnership with project and engagement management. Lead the development and documentation of AI solution designs, applying Generative AI best practices and governance across the lifecycle. Influence client options with credible, technically sound recommendations and act as the face of the solution to internal and external senior stakeholders. This role involves collaborating with agile teams, supporting proposal development, and navigating a hybrid mix of offices, client sites, and remote work.

We require AI focused solution architects who have the experience & ability to operate across multiple technology and business domains with a passion for solving business challenges with Generative AI solutions. You should thrive on variety and enjoy working across the full lifecycle of a project. Our AI solution architects generally operate as technical leads within a project or programme team from the onset of solution design and development through to final delivery and implementation into Live Service. As part of the overall end to end delivery, our AI solution architects often support the development of commercial proposals and additionally will own the technical solution governance at all stages.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your role
As an AI solution architect, you will have responsibility for the ownership of the AI solution design through the inception and delivery phases, be responsible for working through the technical challenges and decisions in partnership with the project and engagement management communities to safely deliver the solution into Live operation.
We expect our AI solution architects to have experience of a wide range of technologies with a strong focus on Generative AI business solutions, best practices and general ways of working. Passion and drive to keep learning in this ever changing and exciting technology is also a key requirement. This experience is essential to influence and advise of the most appropriate AI solution options and to be highly credible with both our clients and senior internal stakeholders.
Here are some of the key activities of the role:
• Take ownership of the client requirements, deliverables and accountabilities to ensure adherence to Architecture Governance processes, industry best practices and to maintain consistency with clients’ Architecture vision.
• Drive the AI solution development and documentation of solution designs ensuring good architectural practices are observed through the lifecycle of the solution development.
• Provide oversight of architectural direction for and on behalf of our clients.
• Working with agile development teams and delivery architects through all phases of the solution lifecycle.
• Take ownership of the solutions and be the face off to our internal and external senior stakeholders.

Your skills and experience
• Solution architecture experience
• Generative AI technology experience such as Resource Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge graphs, advanced prompting, cloud based AI services such as Azure OpenAI, agent frameworks e.g. CrewAI, MCP
• Software engineering experience. A lot of AI solutions are built in Python so a background in software engineering would be advantageous
• Working with agile development teams and delivery architects through all phases of the solution lifecycle.
• Take ownership of the solutions and be the face off to our internal and external senior stakeholders.
• Develop excellent working relationships with our clients to become their trusted advisors through boldness and honesty.
• Relationship management of the technical relationships with vendors, third parties and the wider Capgemini.
• Ensure solution delivery is performed according to agreed specification.
