Business/Team Description

• Loans / lending commitments are a key component of the relationships held by Deutsche Bank with its multinational corporate non-bank financial institutions.

• Relationship loans are typically issued to support the generation of franchise revenues booked by the product lines across the Corporate and Investment Bank divisions.

• Strategic Corporate Lending (“SCL”) provides governance around the investment of loan capital into these client relationships as well as risk managing final hold positions down to threshold levels.

• SCL owns the loan risk in its predominantly senior, unsecured portfolio and hedges via single name CDS and the issuance of CLOs.

• SCL’s Analytics team in Mumbai is primarily responsible for assisting the investment decision via the preparation for the Capital Allocation Forum as well as ongoing profitability reviews.

Your key responsibilities

• Preparing business selection memoranda covering quantitative and qualitative criteria used in the caseby-case decision making on Relationship lending.

• Assist in producing quarterly portfolio reports to allow ongoing monitoring of divisions / regions / industries / countries.

• Independently handle/address ongoing investigation client topics and assist the regional governance team on new analysis requested by senior management.

• Contributes to continuous improvement activities leading to operational efficiencies

Your skills and experience

• Postgraduate with 2-5 years’ experience in Financial Services

• Be well-versed with MS-Office applications including Excel macros, familiarity to VBA & Tableau skill beneficial.

• Excellent communication skills and initiative to engage with other teams.

• Concise focus on attention to detail and audit-proof files

• Willingness to be flexible to meet changing work priorities and tasks, with an ability to manage a high workload, work independently and plan your work to meet deadlines
