Position Overview

Our Corporate Bank Technology team is a global team of 3000 coders (and growing!) across 30 countries. The primary businesses that Corporate Bank support are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology support these businesses through CIO aligned teams and also by 'horizontals' such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance and Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Data Science Engineer to join our AI Tribe. This individual will be responsible for implementing cutting-edge data science solutions, leveraging their expertise to tackle complex business challenges and contribute to development and delivery targets. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in data engineering and data science, a deep understanding of the latest methodologies and technologies, and a proven track record of delivering impactful results in a cloud-based environment, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Responsibilities
- Deliver data science projects aligned with business objectives.
- Plan and implement key data science initiatives in a timely manner.
- Implement parts or the entire data science lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model development, deployment, and evaluation.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
- Build and deploy predictive models, recommender systems, and other data driven solutions.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms, preferably GCP (including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, AI Platform, Airflow or similar).
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and business stakeholders, to translate business requirements into data science solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to managers.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science and machine learning.
- Explore and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to improve effectiveness and drive innovation.
Skills
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related field.
• Proven track record of developing and deploying data science solutions that have delivered tangible business impact.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Expertise in cloud computing platforms, with a strong preference for GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, AI Platform). Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) considered.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
• Experience with MLOps practices and tools.
• 5+ years of experience in leading and managing data science teams.
