Lead long-term, strategic market forecasts for the global chemical industry as part of a cross-functional team of product experts. Translate forecast shifts into commercial insights for major chemical producers and manage data/content updates with global analysts. Contribute to the development of applications and new commercial products, including scenario capabilities and recycle modeling, and support related publications and consulting projects. Deliver timely commercial products to clients and act as a technical liaison for subscribers to our long-term chemical market publications and data analytics services.
About the Role:
As Associate Director, Strategic Insights - Chemical Market Analytics, you will be part of a global team that leads strategic, long-term market forecasts for the chemical industry. You will collaborate closely with chemical product experts worldwide to produce integrated long-term forecasts using advanced analytics and models, as well as related publications and consulting projects. You will contribute to development of our applications and creation of new commercial products, such as scenario capabilities, recycle modeling, and enhancements to our client website and user interface. You will report to the VP, R&A - Data and Technical Design.

You Will:
Apply your technical understanding of the chemical industry to support long-term supply/demand forecast updates
Translate forecast shifts into commercial insights for the world's leading chemical producers
Manage data and content updates with global product experts and the publication analyst team
Ensure the timely delivery of commercial products to clients
Serve as a technical liaison for clients subscribing to our long-term chemical market publications and data analytics services
Assist with the development of new commercial products and enhancements of existing commercial products
Contribute to related publications and consulting projects
Stay abreast of global market and technology developments in the product area
You Have:
10+ years’ petrochemical industry experience, including market intelligence and/or strategic planning -OR- post-graduate academic work in a technical field (i.e. PhD or Master's in Data Science)
Excellent analytical and organizational skills; ability to identify and articulate core/essential issues within complex problems and deliver insights and solutions
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced knowledge of Excel including VBA scripting
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry degree preferred, Economics, related discipline -OR- equivalent work experience
Power BI and Python knowledge (a plus)

Pay Range: $130,000 - $160,000
