AI Product Owner - MCP Integration & AI Platform Development
Your Team's Impact
As AI Product Owner, you will lead the strategy and execution of Model Context Protocol (MCP) related projects and our broader AI platform initiatives. You'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and financial services, defining how FactSet leverages foundation models, agentic AI systems, and advanced data engineering to deliver innovative solutions to our global client base. Your work will directly impact how investment professionals access and interact with financial intelligence powered by AI.
What You'll Do
Product Strategy & AI Model Selection
- Define and execute the product roadmap for MCP-based applications and AI platform capabilities
- Determine optimal model selection strategies, evaluating trade-offs between commercial services (GPT-4, Claude, Gemini) and open-source alternatives (Llama, Mistral, etc.)
- Stay current on model benchmarks and performance characteristics across AI vendors and open-source options
- Establish success metrics and KPIs for AI product initiatives
LLM Evaluation & Architecture
- Design and oversee LLM evaluation frameworks, including benchmark selection and custom eval development
- Apply LLM reasoning architectures (Chain-of-Thought, ReAct, Tree-of-Thoughts, etc.) to product requirements
- Collaborate with engineering teams on prompt engineering best practices and optimization
- Drive inference optimization strategies to balance cost, latency, and quality
AI Systems & Technical Development
- Guide implementation of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and agentic workflows
- Oversee AI pipeline architecture and orchestration requirements
- Lead integration of MCP and similar frameworks into FactSet's technology stack
Data Strategy & Quality Management
- Define dataset engineering requirements including quality standards, coverage needs, and quantity targets
- Establish annotation guidelines and quality assurance processes for training and evaluation data
- Guide data augmentation and synthetic data generation strategies
Stakeholder Collaboration & Delivery
- Gather and synthesize user feedback to inform product iterations
- Translate technical AI capabilities into business value for stakeholders and clients
- Partner with regional and global teams across engineering, data science, and business functions
- Present product vision and progress to leadership and clients
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate AI service providers
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement in AI product delivery
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Product & Business Skills
- 2 - 6 years of product management or product owner experience, preferably in AI/ML or enterprise software
- Proven track record of delivering complex technical products from conception to launch
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, particularly around vendor selection and model choice
- Experience working in agile development environments
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Leadership & Communication
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate between technical and business audiences
- Experience in building effective business relationships with cross-functional and geographical teams
- Collaborative mindset with experience leading cross-functional teams
- Customer-centric approach with strong user empathy
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks through effective prioritization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar integration frameworks
- Background in financial services or working with financial data
- Familiarity with FactSet products and financial analytics platforms
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML development or data science
- Familiarity with inference optimization techniques and cost management
- Experience building feedback loops and continuous improvement systems
- Knowledge of AI safety, security, and governance considerations
