We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Business Analysis
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the Analytics Lead for Finance team, collaborate closely with Business Partners to deliver insightful, data-driven solutions that support strategic decisions and enhance business performance.
- Take measures to provide analytics on thought leadership with a deep understanding of product dynamics and the ability to connect forecasts and actuals to market trends, strategy, customer behavior, and assumptions.
- Lead customer-centric analytics across pricing, planning models, stress testing models and revenue/margin/ Loss analysis for key products by business lines
- Contribute and participate in developing analytical tools and models to provide insights into customer segments, bank’s performance and financial outcomes for internal strategic planning or stress testing. Collaborate across teams to test, and implement solutions
- Enhance existing models, address Independent Model Review findings, and improve model ratings through implementing effective governance and observe to Model Policy and Standards.
- Formulate and present analytical materials for Review and Challenge forums, clearly articulating model design, assumptions, and outputs.
- Support building a high-performing analytics team—recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing talent with specialized skills.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on modelling and reporting standards.
- Drive standardization and simplification across functions and track their effectiveness and efficiency.
- Partner with key stakeholders to deliver impactful business intelligence, support strategic initiatives, and enable executive decision-making
To be successful you will:
- A degree in MBA with bachelor’s in engineering / master’s degree in economics, Mathematics, Statistics or other numerical discipline, with relevant analytics experience.
- 7+ years (with Master’s) or 9+ years (with Bachelor’s) professional experience in financial services or consulting.
- Proven experience in analytics for banking, including risk, stress testing, forecasting, and product strategy development.
- Relevant experience in fields like Credit Risk & Basel, Loss Forecasting / Reserving, IFRS9, Stress testing etc.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying analytical, financial, statistical, and/or machine learning models.Strong financial modeling skills and advanced analytics tool proficiency (SAS, SQL, R, Python, Qlik Sense, etc.).
- Excellent quantitative aptitude and understanding of data architecture, finance, and accounting systems – ability to work with large, complex datasets
- Experience designing and maintaining control frameworks to ensure high-quality, repeatable deliverables.
- Track record of process improvement, governance, and leveraging technology for automation and insights. Good technical background working with large-scale data in distributed computing environments, including databases, data cleaning, and feature engineering
- Experience in managing diverse analytics projects virtually and cross-functionally. Strong commercial acumen with deep knowledge of banking products, financial drivers, P&L, and ratios.
