Join HSBC's Client and Banking Analytics team to deliver data-driven insights that enhance understanding of the client journey, market dynamics and evolving client needs. You will analyse internal and external survey data, integrate platform and external datasets, and evaluate market data sources to inform commercial strategy. The role involves close collaboration with leadership, relationship managers, product and service teams, and contributing to cross-functional analytics initiatives to improve processes and drive business optimisation.

If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or an exciting new direction, we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Customer Insights Manager, Analytics.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Client and Banking Analytics Team where you'll play a critical role in delivering data driven insights to enhance understanding of the client journey, market dynamics and evolving client requirements.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you’ll:

  • Support the development and execution of analytics initiatives that map and evaluate the client journey
  • Leverage internal and external survey data—including Voice of the Client and other structured feedback mechanisms to conduct advanced analytics on customer experience
  • Assist in the identification, evaluation, and management of external market data sources, ensuring data quality, compliance, and optimal business value
  • Integrate data from internal platforms with external datasets and client feedback
  • Work closely with leadership teams, relationship managers, product, and service teams to ensure analytics outputs are aligned with business objectives and support client relationship management
  • Contribute to cross-functional analytics initiatives, sharing best practices and supporting efforts to streamline analytics processes and eliminate duplication across teams
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor positioning, and emerging client needs, translating findings into actionable recommendations for commercial strategy

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in analysing complex datasets from multiple sources and translating findings into actionable business insights
  • Understanding of banking, client lifecycle, and key performance indicators relevant to the sector
  • Experience in sourcing, evaluating, and managing external market data. Familiarity with compliance and data governance standards.
  • Technical proficiency in the use of Python, SQL, Qlik, Power BI and emerging technologies such as Generative AI
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to contribute to business optimisation and innovation projects, working effectively in dynamic, cross-functional environments
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive team culture and valuing diverse perspectives for enhanced problem solving

Opening up a world of opportunity.

Being open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve. At HSBC, we’re dedicated to creating diverse and inclusive workplaces. Our recruitment processes are accessible to everyone - no matter their gender, ethnicity, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or age.

We take pride in being a Disability Confident Leader and will offer an interview to people with disabilities, long term conditions or neurodivergent candidates who meet the minimum criteria for the role.
