Information about the squad:

Team description

Model Risk Oversight (MRO) is responsible for the design and implementation of ING’s global Model Risk Management (MoRM) framework and tooling across all models used within ING Bank worldwide. The tribe aims to proactively manage model risks by guiding global and local communities in the execution of the model lifecycle activities, performing effective and efficient 2nd Line of Defence (LoD) challenge and oversight across ING’s model landscape, monitoring and reporting on model risks. MRO is an energetic, international team of highly qualified Model Risk Experts, Business Analysts, and Data Analysts/Programmers. MRO is developing and rolling out the new Model Risk Management (MoRM) framework which scope covers all models used within ING Bank worldwide. To further strengthen and manage the model risk management activities, MRO expands within Risk Hub of ING Hubs Poland. The Risk Hub Model Risk Oversight Chapter supports/guides global and local model communities in execution of the model life cycle activities, together with Global MRO team facilitates oversight, monitoring model risk, assessing and governing model inventory data quality, and reporting for global/local entities. We expect the MoRM department will have significant different activities due to re-setup operating model between 1st and 2nd line risk management, as well as emerging risks or regulations (EU AI Act). We are looking for Model Risk Experts to support Model Risk Management by enhancing steering mechanisms, extending reporting capabilities and contribute to various framework related projects. At ING Hubs Poland and ING Group we follow the Agile approach and mindset. We are innovative and we trust people we work with.

Specific Function

Model Risk Management (MoRM) in a nutshell; Models are an imperfect reflection of reality. Models impact our business and we use models for decision making throughout ING. We need to manage uncertainties and shortcomings in our models, as there are risks involved. Are we sure that the output leads to the right decision? Models are a great asset but come with a risk that needs to be managed. The purpose of the Model Risk Management department is to ensure the models can add business value safely. That's why we've created a cross-domain Model Risk Management Framework helping us identifying, classifying, recording and validating models we use across ING. For example, Credit, Market, KYC, Operational and Pricing models. Together with our stakeholders in e.g. Model Development and COO Risk we try to obtain the best models for ING.

The financial ranges specified in the announcement are adjusted and may differ from the range specified in the remuneration regulations.
