As an Applied AI & ML Lead in the Market Operations team, you will drive the strategy, design, and delivery of AI/ML solutions that enhance and transform Market Operations. You will lead a team of scientists and engineers, partner with business stakeholders and technology leaders, and ensure the successful implementation and scaling of AI-driven tools. You will identify opportunities, set technical direction, and deliver measurable impact through innovative AI/ML applications. Your leadership will help foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, implementation, and scaling of advanced machine learning models and algorithms to address operational challenges
• Set technical vision and strategy for AI/ML initiatives, aligning with business goals
• Oversee the architecture and deployment of generative AI applications and agents to automate and enhance processes
• Manage and mentor a team of AI/ML scientists and engineers, fostering innovation and collaboration
• Ensure production-grade AI/ML applications and tools are built, maintained, and optimized
• Establish best practices for monitoring, evaluating, and improving solution performance
• Guide the analysis of large and complex datasets to identify trends and opportunities for automation
• Engage with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions
• Champion documentation of methodologies, results, and best practices for knowledge sharing
• Stay up to date with the latest AI/ML advancements and apply relevant techniques to business problems
• Represent the team in cross-functional forums and communicate technical concepts clearly

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• BSc/MSc in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field (or equivalent experience)
• Leadership experience in AI/ML, including leading teams and projects from conception to production
• Strong foundation in AI/ML concepts and practical experience with data analysis, feature engineering, and model development
• Experience working with large, complex datasets and applying statistical analysis
• Hands-on experience training, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in production environments
• Proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML libraries (e.g. scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Experience with MLOps practices and tools for managing the machine learning lifecycle
• Experience building and deploying Generative AI applications, including familiarity with LLMOps
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as a leader within cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to senior business stakeholders and non-technical audiences

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• Experience in financial services, banking, or Market Operations environments
• Experience leading AI/ML initiatives in a regulated industry
