As a Applied AI ML Lead at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking technology, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and deploying advanced machine learning solutions that drive business value and operational excellence. You will provide technical leadership, guide cross-functional teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership. Your expertise will help shape scalable, secure, and high-quality AI platforms that support complex business needs and set new standards for innovation in banking.

Job Responsibilities

Provide ongoing technical leadership and direction to business units, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors.

Serve as a subject matter expert in specialized areas of AI and machine learning across the function.

Advise executive leadership as a thought leader, delivering strategic recommendations for machine learning initiatives.

Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-quality production code for machine learning solutions.

Review and debug code to ensure adherence to best practices, quality, and security standards.

Champion software and model quality, integrity, and security throughout the organization.

Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations through informed decision-making.

Architect and oversee the development of next-generation machine learning models and systems leveraging advanced technologies.

Ensure platforms support complex use cases, including real-time inference, big data processing, and advanced analytics.

Drive innovation in machine learning, ensuring solutions are scalable, flexible, and architected for the future.

Advocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, and SDLC best practices within the engineering community.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.

Demonstrated technical leadership and experience guiding engineering teams.

Expertise in developing, reviewing, and debugging secure, high-quality production code.

Deep knowledge of machine learning, big data processing, and advanced analytics.

Experience architecting scalable and flexible machine learning platforms.

Proven ability to drive innovation and influence technology adoption.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise and influence executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications, capabilities and skills

Experience in the financial services industry, especially in consumer and community banking.

Familiarity with firmwide frameworks, tools, and SDLC best practices.

Track record of contributing to the engineering community and promoting best practices.
