Associate on the CCB Risk Cards Strategic Analytics team responsible for quantitative and qualitative analysis to determine optimal credit risk strategy across the card lifecycle. Build and maintain analytics, control reports, executive and regulatory dashboards using SAS/R/Python, SQL and visualization tools to inform management decisions and monitoring. Collaborate with policy and operational teams, support data quality monitoring, and contribute to data/analytical modernization and cloud initiatives.

CCB Risk Cards Strategic Analytics team generates thoughtful analytics and recommendations concerning strategy development, implementation, operational controls, and performance monitoring. As an associate, you will perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on credit card customers to determine the optimal credit risk strategy to be executed through the card life cycle. 

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Collaborating in developing, maintaining, and improving credit program policies, strategies, processes and procedures within the assigned function
  • Collaborating across policy teams, owning Control reports and monitoring Data Quality metrics
  • Enable business decision making and monitoring through development of executive and regulatory dashboard
  • Conducting complex analysis and providing accurate and concise results with recommendations to management.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing analytics to provide management with full insight into emerging trends and the quality of the originated accounts and portfolio
  • Acquire deep understanding of the operational processes, key performance metrics and profitability drivers, enabling the delivery of insights encompassing the full account lifecycle (e.g., underwriting, portfolio management, collections) 
  • Identify, evaluate, interpret and leverage complex internal and external data and develop analytical solutions to enhance risk strategies and governance
  • Be an integral part of the data and analytical modernization efforts

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Mathematics (or equivalent quantitative field)
  • Strong SAS/R/Python and SQL programming skills and Advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
  • Proficiency in Data Visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau
  • 3-7 years of experience in Business Analysis, Consulting, Data Analytics, Risk Strategy or related Financial Analysis
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly present analytical findings and make business recommendations and prepare executive level communications. 
  • High degree of initiative, self-direction, and excellent project management skills to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships. 
  • Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail with a proven ability to learn quickly

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies like snowflake and AWS
  • Prior experience of working in Cards industry
