As an Experience Research Senior Associate on the Behavioral Insights Team, you will design and execute quantitative research to inform product and UX decisions. You will analyze and visualize large datasets using Python or R, run surveys, A/B tests and statistical models, and define metrics to track product performance. The role partners closely with product, design and technology teams and requires translating complex findings into actionable recommendations. As an Experience Research Senior Associate in the Behavioral Insights Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across our products and services. Leveraging your deep expertise in quantitative research methods and digital product delivery, you will design and execute research to uncover valuable insights into the wants, needs, and abilities of our users. Apply your advanced knowledge of quantitative methods to critically analyze the effectiveness of our existing and future designs as you collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams — your work will drive effective product decisions across the firm. Job responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret data using advanced quantitative methods and translate insights into actionable recommendations to enhance user experience
- Define relevant metrics and facilitate their implementation to provide meaningful insights about product performance and user experience
- Advise colleagues on what to measure about user experience, both by tracking user behavior and by running user surveys
- Partner closely with colleagues across product, design and technology to design and execute research projects which inform strategy and decision-making
- Monitor industry trends in user experience research methods and incorporate innovative techniques to maintain a competitive edge in the market
- Collaborate with others as part of a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within and across user experience teams
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of working experience in generative and evaluative user experience research, with a strong focus on quantitative research methods
- Experience analyzing and visualizing data using Python or R, focused on developing reproducible analytical pipelines
- Experience synthesizing large datasets from different sources to derive meaningful insights
- Proven ability to conduct various quantitative research methods, such as surveys, A/B tests and statistical modelling, to derive actionable insights to inform product decisions
- Experience designing high-quality research, with the ability to adapt project scope to accommodate changing stakeholder needs
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, and developers, to drive user-focused decision-making and inform product prioritization
- Experience distilling complex research findings into actionable insights and then communicate those insights effectively to a range of audiences
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- An advanced degree in data science, behavioral science, social psychology, statistics, or another relevant field
- Experience with advanced statistical methods (e.g., longitudinal analysis, multi-level modeling, AI/ML techniques)
- Experience using experimental and quasi-experimental designs
- Familiarity with Tableau and/ or Adobe Analytics
