Join the Commerce Enablement Analytics team to turn raw data into actionable insights across descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics with a focus on controls, risk, and regulatory areas. Work closely with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to define metrics, source data, develop queries, and create reports that drive decision-making. Build and rationalize data models and reusable data points to ensure high quality, reduced redundancy, and ease of consumption across the organization. Automate and optimize recurring reports while sharing knowledge across the Data & Analytics community.
Location: Wilmington, DE, United States
As a Quant Analyst on the Commerce Enablement Analytics Team, you will work closely with Product Owners to deliver insights in terms of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics with a focus on Controls, Risk, and Regulatory areas. You’ll build consensus with Product Owners on if, where, when, how, and whom to drive customer engagement by defining metrics, sourcing data, developing queries, and creating reports.
You’ll need to combine analytic skills with specific domain knowledge to make data actionable and allow for ease of consumption. You’ll translate between analytic and non-analytic groups as well as facilitate holistic, cross-functional learning.
Job Responsibilities
- Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions
- Create data points using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
- Rationalize complex normalized data sets allowing for ease of cross org consumption
- Partner closely and collaborate with Product teams, Data management teams, Strategy teams, Technology Teams and broader D&A organization resources across multiple functional units to understand business requirements and objectives
- Translate data into meaningful insights and present a compelling story to stakeholders for decision making
- Bring in experience in the production, optimization and automation of recurrent reports
- Collaborate, learn, teach and disseminate knowledge across the Data & Analytics community.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities
- BS Degree in quantitative or related field
3+ years of work experience across broad range of analytics technologies and tools in a big data environment
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Alteryx and Tableau
- Experience with Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle and SQL DBs
- Adept at explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences of varying levels of expertise
- Intellectually curious and eager to learn new things with an eye for innovation
- Able to demonstrate initiative and complete projects/tasks independently
- Highly organized and able to impact multiple tasks
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Operational business knowledge of processes, data, controls, and technology platforms
- Knowledge of Cloud (AWS, Snowflake) based data solutions and tools
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities
Basic skills with JIRA, Confluence, and Adobe Analytics
- Functional industry experience in operations, marketing, credit/risk, technology or finance
- Intermediate knowledge of Machine Learning
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to pull data using multiple joins, sub-queries, and advanced functions in an enterprise-scale database environment (Teradata, Hadoop, AWS, etc.)
- Experience with business intelligence and data wrangling tools such as SAS EG, SAS Viya, Python, Snowflake and Alteryx is key
- Competent using visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation (Tableau preferred)
