The Associate Director, AI Application Engineer will lead a team of engineers delivering AI-enabled applications using .NET Core, C#, Python, and modern frameworks, with a hybrid work arrangement in the United States. The role defines the technical vision and roadmaps, and actively engages with technology initiatives while integrating solutions with Azure, Google Cloud, and enterprise systems. Responsibilities include developing agents to interact with APIs and other applications, ensuring robust integration, enforcing SDLC standards, and driving DevOps and MLOps practices; researching emerging technologies and presenting solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The position also leads troubleshooting of operational issues and performance optimization, upholding professionalism and integrity within KPMG's culture.

KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, AI Application Engineer to join our Digital Nexus Technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of engineers tasked with design, development, and deployment of AI-enabled applications using .NET Core, C#, Python, and modern frameworks
Define the technical vision and roadmaps, and actively engage with technology initiatives; integrate solutions with Azure, Google Cloud, and enterprise systems
Manage the Development of Agents to interact with APIs, and other applications using techniques such as A2A and MCP, as well as ensure robust integration; collaborate work with architects to create solution designs and technical documentation
Define standards and enforce code quality through reviews, automated testing, and adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); drive DevOps and MLOps best practices
Research emerging technologies, as well as recommend best-fit solutions and solution architectures; present solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Lead troubleshooting of operational issues and performance optimization
Act with integrity, professionalism and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:

Minimum eight years of overall technology experience, including at least five years leading engineering teams and over two years of recent experience in bringing in AI platforms/Solutions to solve business problems and make a business impact, with practical experience in Python, Azure AI, Google AI services or similar capabilities on other cloud platforms
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED required
Prior Full-stack development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, C# and TypeScript
Strong experience in Azure AI stack, AKS, API development, and DevOps practices
Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, BASH, YAML) and automation testing
