About this Opportunity
We’re the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) within Lloyds Banking Group! The mission of Group Chief Data and Analytics Office is to promote, embed and commercialise Data and Analytics practice and culture across Lloyds Banking Group.
The Data Resilience team is a new chapter within the Chief Data and Analytics Office. It has the responsibility to define and embed new Strategies, Operating Models and Control Frameworks to protect the Banks critical data services that our customers, colleagues and the market rely upon.
We are looking for an innovative AI Solutions Engineer to lead the design and deployment of enterprise-grade AI solutions that transform operational resilience and business processes. This role will focus on building scalable AI/ML systems, integrating generative AI capabilities, and ensuring compliance within a regulated environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge AI solutions that drive efficiency, resilience, and measurable business impact.
Here's where you’ll make a difference:
- Architect and deliver AI/ML solutions leveraging cloud-native platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and Kubeflow.
- Design and implement generative AI applications for document processing, workflow automation, and decision support.
- Build end-to-end ML pipelines for data ingestion, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring using tools like MLflow, Vertex AI, and Apache Beam.
- Develop enterprise patterns and reusable frameworks for scalable AI adoption across multiple business units.
- Ensure robust governance, compliance, and explainability of AI systems in line with regulatory requirements.
- Act as a technical escalation point for AI engineering challenges and mentor junior engineers.
- Drive automation and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

What you’ll need
- Proven experience in architecting and deploying AI/ML solutions in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Hands-on expertise with generative AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph) and ML orchestration tools (Kubeflow, Airflow).
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in containerization (Docker) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Deep understanding of data engineering principles, including streaming and batch processing (Apache Beam, Spark).
- Familiarity with ML lifecycle management and platforms like Vertex AI, SageMaker, Databricks.
- Strong knowledge of governance, compliance, and risk management in regulated environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading technical teams.
- Bonus: Experience in mentoring engineers and driving enterprise-wide AI adoption patterns.
