Data Scientist will join the Service and Quality team in Estimates and help build sophisticated analytical capabilities including data science, deep learning models, dashboards, and automated solutions. The role is forward-looking, identifying analytics trends and emerging tools to support D&A Customer Operations now and in the future. You will design and develop new methodologies, quantitative models, and analyses to enhance existing processes and maintain performance. Internally, you will collaborate with multiple departments to grow ideas and expand the scope of existing products.

The Junior data scientist will form a part of the Service and Quality team in Estimates who are in building sophisticated analytical capabilities including data science, deep learning model’s, dashboarding, and automated solutions.

This team will be forward-looking in identifying analytics trends, emerging tools & practices to ensure we have the skills and capabilities we need, to support D&A Customer Operations now and in the future.

Job Description Summary

Design and develop new methodologies, quantitative models, analysis and commentary (as relevant) that enhance existing or new processes. Maintain existing product performance and independent analysis standards. Internally, work with various departments to grow new ideas and expand the scope of existing products.

Responsibilities

  • Act as single point of contact and drive Service & Quality Projects from inception to successful delivery
  • Act as the business interface and define & prioritize the strategic content requirements by working closely with Content Management Team, Customers Facing Teams and Regional Operations Managers
  • Be a Change Agent in triggering, initiating and delivering progressive & innovative changes by considering end-users perspective
  • Effectively engage with all stakeholders to identify new opportunities to improve content and review service & quality performance
  • Responsible for identifying, prioritizing and documenting Data Enhancements with Internal Operations Teams and also External Automation Vendors Partners.
  • Supports the Content production teams with complex queries, service & quality issues and also day to day production issues
  • Build strong working relationships with operational/content leadership

Expected Skills –

  • Good Analytical & Reasoning Skills with ability to identify Trends & Patterns within large data sets
  • Ability to understand interrelationship of Content sets, their importance and possible cross content impact for changes
  • Keen interest towards Process improvement & enhancement opportunities within Processes & Workflows
  • Good at Identification, Gathering, Prioritizing & Documentation of Requirements, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in ML, deep learning, and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Extensive experience on using Python, Power Apps, SQL
  • Narrate stories (to technical and mostly non-technical audience) about our content and processes by data analysis and visualization
  • Strong written, communication and presentation skills. Able to respond and present work to peers, senior management and other stakeholders
  • Certified (or attempting) as a Lean / Six Sigma green/black belt with practical experience in Lean Project Management along with practical experience in coaching, facilitation, Lean deployments, and Lean projects
  • Project management or/and Process optimization experiences (can have been informal as part of wider roles and responsibilities, but must be demonstrable if so)
