Role Overview
As the Testing and QA Practices Lead within the CTO Group, you will spearhead the development, measurement, and continuous improvement of testing and Quality Assurance (QA) practices across all LSEG business units. This role covers all types of testing and QA across the SDLC and product delivery lifecycle.
This pivotal role is responsible for establishing a cohesive, Group-wide testing and QA practice that upholds the highest standards, fosters innovation and consistency, and enables the delivery of robust, high-quality technology solutions to our customers.
This role will also help to establish best practice for testing and quality assurance in AI engineering, ensuring that robust standards, testing methodologies, and governance frameworks are in place to deliver reliable, ethical, and high-performing AI solutions across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and benchmark testing and QA processes across all business units, identifying gaps and opportunities for harmonisation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Group-wide testing and QA standards, guidelines, patterns, policies, and best practices, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and manage a comprehensive testing and QA metrics framework to measure the effectiveness and maturity of testing and QA practices, driving transparency and accountability.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration between business units to promote adoption of proven testing and QA techniques, tools, and automation strategies.
- Lead the creation of training programmes and continuous professional development initiatives to elevate testing and QA capabilities across the Group.
- Champion a culture of quality by advocating for early and continuous involvement of testing and QA in the software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps and agile methodologies.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to ensure testing and QA practices support business outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure LSEG’s testing and QA practices remain best-in-class.
- Drive testing and QA innovation by evaluating and introducing new tools, frameworks, and techniques where appropriate.
- Establish and lead a cross-functional testing and QA forums to ensure ongoing alignment and continuous improvement.
- Work with the Head of Artificial Intelligence to develop QA and testing practices and techniques into the delivery of Generative AI workflows.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience leading testing and QA practices in large, complex, and distributed technology environments.
- Strong understanding of modern testing and QA methodologies, automation, tooling, and metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Track record of developing and embedding testing and QA standards and frameworks in a federated or matrixed organisation.
- Ability to drive cultural change and foster a shared sense of ownership for quality.
- Experience in regulated financial services or similarly demanding sectors is highly desirable.
